GOAL
Introduce a new type of Health store

In existence for 10+ years in San Francisco, the Institute for Health and Healing blended offerings from both Western and Eastern medicine through the Sutter Health Hospital system. This project established a retail store in the newly build Sutter Hospital in San Francisco. The need was to make the store communicate the vision of the program while being engaging to visit and browse - and ultimately buy. The goal was to get visitors in the door and be a place of respite.
Solution
Our work to create both information and accessibility was first steeped in organizing the principles of the Program and help mirror that in spaces in the store. We developed a way-finding model for visitor traffic to organize the key product types. Then we built signage to guide. Imagery that was specific to the tone and vision of the brand was a key step in the overall building of the experience. Painstaking reviews of key stock photography created the curated set of elements that are core now to the whole retail experience.
