Challenge

The BILT app provides a great platform for both brands to provide consumers with an easy way to simply listen to instructions and visual guidance for assembling a broad range of products. The app had received a tremendous amount of positive feedback and excitement, but also many areas that needed work. We were asked to work on improving the primary areas of friction for users.

Solution

We used a combination of solutions including adding a guidance-based "coach marking" design to the key areas where users needed more guidance as well as some improvement stories the overall UI organization we knew would have positive impact on user-understanding of the overall system.
